Overview
Starting from a 300 olive tree field, located in the hamlet of Maussane, the owner decided to build in 1693. Built in dressed stone, it included a master building, outbuildings, an oil mill with two horse riding arenas to operate the heavy wheels of the grinder. Completed in 1738, this building had been imagined from the beginning with its large arches to bring openness to the mill. The gardens were laid out over generations by the family around huge plane trees, an orchard and basins with fountains taking over the layout of French gardens and transforming the oil mill into a place of leisure and pleasure.
When the architect owner visited this old house which over time had become Le Mas des Oliviers, the charm worked immediately. How can you resist to the magic of the morning light bathing the large vaulted rooms, to the power that emerges from these heavy stones steeped in history, this monumental architecture with its majestic staircase, its large ceiling heights, its vast open lounges overviewing the park and the beauty of these natural materials, raw and noble at the same time.
Horse lovers and inspired by equestrian art, they completely renovated Le Mas des Oliviers by bringing to this ancient building the modernity and singularity that make the great homes of exception.
Antique furniture, braided leathers, patinas, colors loaded with natural pigments combine with contemporary works of art. With eight large rooms and suites, the heated pool at the foot of the olive trees, the Spa and hotel service, staying at Le Mas des Oliviers is a privileged moment, to share with family or friends, to fully enjoy the French “Art de vivre”, in the heart of the Alpilles and authentic Provence.
