Domaine Mauzen is a beautiful, tranquil 17th century chartreuse set in a 184 acre estate in the heart of the Dordogne, steeped in history, and is now available as a rental property for a wonderful holiday or luxury break. It is considered locally to be the most important building of its kind in the whole of the Perigord region and nestles in a wooded valley with extensive gardens, stunning views, a swimming pool and a lake.

The house has been returned to its former glory and is the perfect venue for parties of up to 20 people. Perhaps you would like to explore this fabulous corner of France, simply relax and unwind in true luxury, or celebrate a special occasion with family and friends.

The accommodation is across two buildings, conveniently located in close proximity to each other. The Main House has 6 bedrooms and The Barn has 4 bedrooms. All the bedrooms are named after plants that are grown on the property. They are all en-suite, with luxurious Villeroy and Boch fittings, many with under floor heating. Both properties have their own kitchen and dining facilities as well.

Outside, The Domaine has the benefit of 184 acres for you to explore if you would like to do so. Immediately within the gardens is the River Manaurie running through the center. A pergola draped in wisteria covers the barbecue area with tables and chairs for outside dining and a large heated swimming pool, with its own pool house, is located between the Main House and the Barn.
