The main villa, built in circa 1450, was used as a fortress by the Florentines to protect against the marauding Sienese. No doubt much blood was shed in and around the fort as a contest for supremacy reigned between the pope (the Florentines) and the Holy Roman emperor (the Sienese).

Benefitting from its exclusive, elevated position overlooking cypress trees and rolling vineyards, this luxury twin villa has been lovingly restored by renowned Roman architect Domenico Minchilli. It comprises a main villa and guest house with travertine and terracotta ﬂoors, bespoke kitchens with European appliances and Carrara marble bathrooms.

The estate is perfect for a large family combining 7 ensuite bedrooms (4 in the Main House and 3 in the Guest House). The main house comprises a kitchen and butler’s pantry with Gaggenau appliances, two dishwashers and multiple fridges and cooktops, ideal for preparing Tuscan feasts prepared by your own personal chef. Meals can be enjoyed in the dining room, or in the adjoining loggia which has spectacular sunset views.
